Winter Break Schedule and Available Services
Brightpoint will be on Winter Break, starting at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 22, 2023 through January 1, 2024.
During Winter Break:
- The college's campuses will be closed.
- Some remote services will be offered. There will be no on-campus classes or services.
- New students may continue applying to the college, using our online application.
- Current students may continue registering for Spring 2024 classes using the Student Information System (SIS) in myBrightpoint.
Services
Help Hub
The Help Hub will provide technical assistance to Winter Mini Session students from December 26 – 29. Students who need technical support should email helphub@brightpoint.edu.
Admissions and Records
The Admissions and Records Office will offer assistance via email during the Winter Break at admissionsandrecords@brightpoint.edu. This email account will be monitored periodically, so responses will not be immediate.
Library
During the Winter Break:
- The library’s Ask-A-Librarian service will continue to be available 24/7/365 to students through the library website and through Canvas. Librarians will be monitoring the chat transcripts and responding to email daily.
- Students can schedule a custom research appointment using the consultation request form.
Academic Resource Center (Tutoring)
The Academic Resource Center will offer remote services to Winter Mini Session students during the college’s Winter Break.
Virtual drop-in sessions will be conducted in our Virtual ARC from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, excluding Monday, December 25 and Monday, December 31. No appointment needed.
Testing Center
The Testing Center will be open on December 27 and December 28 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. for remote proctoring of assessments and to respond to emails and phone inquiries. To contact the Testing Center during these times, please email: testing@brightpoint.edu.
2024
Our campuses will reopen January 2, 2024, and the first Spring 2024 classes start January 16.
College Closed: July 4 - 7
The college will be closed July 4 – 7 for the Independence Day holiday weekend. There will be no classes, and all college offices will be closed.
While the college is closed, current students may continue registering for classes by logging into their myBrightpoint account and using Navigate or SIS. New students interested in attending Brightpoint may get started by completing their application for admission, which is available online.
